Gail’s path to pharmacy was sparked by a high school teacher who suggested the career early on. Though she didn’t pursue it immediately, her interest grew in college. “I’ve always been fascinated with human biology, so healthcare made sense,” she explained. “I wanted a career that gave me a consistent patient base where I could see them often, but also a career that was flexible and allowed for multiple different directions. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more interested in health and nutrition, and pharmacy is a wonderful platform to share that information as well.”

Gail has deep roots in Emporia. Her parents moved here when she was in kindergarten, and both she and her husband are proud graduates of Emporia High School. After leaving briefly for school and to launch their careers, the couple returned in 2009 and have been part of the community ever since.

She and her husband have been married for more than 20 years and are raising two children. Outside of the pharmacy, Gail enjoys traveling with her family, watching her kids participate in sports and school activities, and reading.

Gail said. “Newman Community RX provides some important services to the Emporia community, and I can’t wait to get involved in those—and expand on them—to help our customers further. I am learning that this is a very dynamic team and know we will continue to provide great customer care.”
